The Nordic Payments Council is looking for a Secretary General
The key responsibilities in the position are to create, evolve and maintain the NPC Schemes. This involves close work with the Board, the NPC Members and other stakeholders like the P27 Nordic Payments, the Nordic central banks and authorities. The Secretary General is responsible for the administration of the NPC, facilities, accounting and other administrative tasks. The Secretary General is reporting to the Board and is the leader for the two employees in NPC. The position is based at NPC’s office in the centre of Stockholm, Sweden.
You have a solid experience within the area of banking and national payments from at least one of the NPC countries, interbank payments, cross border payments, payments schemes, payments standards/formats; SEPA, ISO20022, proprietary formats for Norway, Denmark and Sweden. The position will require at least 10 years of relevant working experience within these fields and necessary leadership skills and experience in leading skilled employees.
Apart from full fluency in English and a Nordic language, and a relevant academic degree, you show the ability to establish and maintain the structure and format for the work within the working groups. You take ownership and show ability to achieve progress in a cooperative manner, although handling complex issues and multiple stakeholders. You are very responsive and diplomatic, yet with the ability to lead the work forward in the working groups together with the two employees. You show the necessary authority as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
